ENA Patch 2 brings more to your NOC

Hot on the heels of the successful launch of Entuity Network Analytics (ENA) and Patch 1, Entuity has today released ENA Patch 2. It brings with it a host of new features that further ease the process of turning network data into business insight.

Here, we take a look at the new functionality and how it will help you keep the network running better.

Dark theme – perfect for the NOC

We pride ourselves on delivering software that is optimized for the network engineer, so we went right back to basics – how does it look in the network operations center? You can now monitor and manage your network in the dark with our new dark theme, applicable across the entire product in just three clicks. We all know what it’s like spending a long part of the day staring at screens – many studies show that for information-intensive work, a dark theme aids concentration more than a light theme. So why not improve focus by switching to the dark theme that further optimizes our already easy-on-the-eye UI for the NOC environment. Couple this with ENA’s fit-to-screen capability and you have a solution that is ideal for the NOC, a laptop, or your phone. Light or dark, the choice is up to you.

Faster wireless insight

Wireless devices are everywhere you look in the modern network, and provide much of the connectivity that keeps the business running. Armed with this knowledge, we’ve listened to your feedback and introduced out-of-the-box dashboards to present data on your wireless controllers and devices. Visualization of data is no problem on specially designed, vendor-specific dashboards unique to each individual type of wireless router. Quickly find insights into the associated components upon which your wireless networks rely.

Smoother integration with BMC

The world is already complicated enough without needing multiple logins to get the job done. With extensive integrations across the BMC IT suite, Entuity is committed to helping you bring all your tools together in one place. We’ve introduced a new integration with the BMC Remedy Single Sign On (RSSO). This means you can use the same login details for ENA and the whole BMC suite – sign into one product and you won’t need to sign into any other. Harness the management and analytical potential of a comprehensive IT monitoring and operations offering with just a single login.

Faster cloud monitoring

Ever more applications are moving to the cloud, creating an increasingly distributed network. Accordingly, Entuity has significantly improved its cloud support for the two largest platforms by market share, Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. ENA now polls your AWS and Azure platforms faster – reducing polling times by a factor of 60 in the case of AWS – for greater scalability, no matter the extent of your network. Plan for cloud growth without worrying how to monitor it.

Enhanced device configuration

Flexibility and customization are essential features of a network management tool that both fits to the way you want to work, and extends the reach of your network. ENA’s Configuration Management and Configuration Monitor now accept a list of SSH Security algorithms for a configuration management tasks. This allows you to configure your own security parameters – perfect for meeting the configuration needs of any device you take under management, or just for configuring the network your way.
